Poppy

The meaning of the poppy

Poppy (Red, Orange, Pink)

Carefree, like a summer day.

In summer, poppies turn the edges of cornfields red. They stand for a carefree feeling, like a summer's day. The red poppy also has a deeper meaning: since the poem “In Flanders Fields”, it has been the symbol of remembrance for those who died in the First World War, worn around Remembrance Day on 11 November.
